Final Reflection

Image
One of the best experiences was to do my elevator speech No. 1. It was so much fun to record over and over again until I finally got it right. Also to make a list of all the things that annoyed me because I never thought of entrepreneurship like that. It is totally right though, one has to figure out what the problem is and then just come up with a creative solution to solve it. I believe this class was an amazing learning experience, not only from making the weekly blogs but from each lecture I attended to. Dr Pryor has so much knowledge and the class was always enjoyable. I believe that an advice for future students is to take this class seriously and to make the best effort of doing the blogs and actually keeping up with them. There is nothing like exploring where your brain can take you when you actually set an idea and develop it throughout the semester.

1.- My opportunity belief is a service for all UF students starting with freshmen that have no idea on how to cook but the other market is for parents that don't have the time or any idea on how to cook. Today, college students eat trash and that is why so many diseases and obesity is going around like crazy. Even one of my roommates has the same problem of eating cereal 4 times a day instead of actually meal prepping something full of nutrients and rich of protein to survive each day. This ideology of people eating shit is strong and the excuse everyone gives is the lack of cooking knowledge or even just to buy food, students have no idea of what to buy.  My service will provide the students who wish to have a healthier diet on how to buy, cook and eat appropriately . They can do so by registering my mobile app or website and getting updated lists of more than 50 recipes per protein to make. It is really interactive and full of good stuff for them.   Once they registe...

Reading Reflection

The art of social media power tips for power users guy Kawasaki  1) What was the general theme or argument of the book? This book's general theme were tips for social media users on how to better network with others. Examples of this include Pinterest and how to better your personal brand on sites such as LinkedIn and others. It also discusses other aspects of social media such as the negative connotations of it. In general it shows how people know the basics but misuse certain resources offered to them.  2)  How did the book, in your opinion, connect with and enhance what you are learning in ENT 3003? This book helped me understand how business run online as well as in stores and the importance of social media for marketing purposes. This attracts more customers and it helps with the companies reputation. 3)  If you had to design an exercise for this class, based on the book you read, what would that exercise involve? The exeercise would be trying different ...

Your Exit Strategy

My exit strategy in the future is to move to another sector in business while keeping this business going. I think anyone can be capable of operating my business because is pretty self explanatory and there should not be any confusion on how to control it. I would like to be recognized as the guy that helped many generations of students be alive and eat properly every day of their lives. T his exit strategy has influenced the other decisions I've made in my concept because I won't expand to other Universities, just like Study Edege, I wanted to be a UF signature that keeps going for years.

Celebrating Failure

I failed to try to wake up early every day and have a more productive day. My goal was to wake up every day at 7, go to the gym and have the rest of the day opened to do school/work stuff but that never happened. I kept sleeping super late and waking up super late as well.  I learned from this failure that I need to be more consistent and set realistic goals for my daily life. I know there is a point where I will be able to accomplish my morning goal but this is not something that will happen out of nowhere, it requires discipline and a strong will to do it. Maybe I enjoy to much my sleep and that is the reason I haven't been able to do it, but I know its a habit I can adopt later in my life. Failure is always a good thing, failure demonstrates that you at least tried and you can change what made you fail to achieve success. This applies to everything in life, failure is a powerful tool to makes us stronger, only the weak will vanish and back up when facing fai...

What's Next

Existing market: What makes the most sense to grow in my existing market is to make advertisements on social media and give conferences at the University of Florida for people to know the company. That way all the students will know the benefits of being part of this company and how much it will save them on a daily basiThis factors will make it easier to approach college students and for them to get comfortable with the company. I feel my company will expand [peoples knowledge on food and cooking skills. New market: The new market I tried to target was parents that don't have experience cooking or that their job is so time consuming is barely impossible for them to cook. People would rather learn the basics and actually get hands on the kitchen than fuck up everytime they cook. My expectations about this new market were correct because of previous consumer questionnaires I have done and family leaders like it a lot. For me and the high evolvement of my company...
